NYC Fashion Week-Fall '11

I attended the Mackage Fall/Winter 2011 show back in February. The experience courtesy of Mercedes Benz was nothing short of amazing! The dresses and coats from this designer were beautiful and very well made. I took in the show with my dad & even he was excited about it. I also got a goodie bag with lots of cool things like Essie nail polish, travel cups, an Ipad case and discounts to different stores/websites. I can't wait to see more shows in September :-) Here are some pics from the show...

Spring/Summer '11 Trend-Color Blocking

Color Blocking has been all over the runways for the Spring/Summer 2011 shows. From Gucci to Giambattista Valli to Zara and Topshop.... mixing bold, bright colors into a normally plain outfit is all the rave this season! If you're not ready to jump head first into this trend you can start with a plain palette and add a bright colored accessory, like a Cobalt Pump, or Hot Pink Clutch. Or you can do one brightly colored piece (like the hot pink shorts) and a white or black top and black or nude shoes/sandals. For the more daring, anything goes! you can mix a deep purple blazer with bright green cuffed skinny jeans and a black/nude or metallic (bronze or gold) shoe. When doing color blocking mainly above the knees, it's best to keep your footwear a solid/muted color. When doing a plain white/black or nude outfit, you can do a bright shoe and/or bright colored bag.

Be Desired Styling: Erin Christine

I recently helped style an up & coming Soul/Pop artist named Erin Christine, as a favor for my good friend Cassell. She has an amazing voice and is such a sweet, beautiful girl who bares a striking resemblance to Blake Lively. I styled her for a few looks and in one of the looks that was chosen for the article she's wearing a Be Desired Studded Collar T-shirt :-D. DIY-Midnight Madness-Glitter Pumps

I just finished revamping a pair of royal blue Steve Madden pumps I had sitting around in my closet. A few squeeze's of Gem-Tac glue & applying teal glitter and VOILA! I now own a pair of teal glitter pumps:-D I also had a pair of purple SM pumps in my closet wasting away and decided to revamp those too. I added a heart in gold glitter and a thin line down the back of the heel. I'm currently rummaging through my closet to see which old shoe is next at becoming "new" again :-)

Nail Trends-Louboutin Nails...

Nail's are quickly becoming a woman's favorite accessory, I've seen plenty of nail trends and the thought process behind some of these concepts are amazing!! I recently saw a pic of these Louboutin nails and I am loving the concept!! Being a proud owner to a very special pair of Pink Glitter Louboutin's, I can't wait to buy some pink glitter polish, try this trend out for myself & rock them with my Loubs ;-)
